Agile Transformation

We keep hearing about Agile being a silver bullet, its very common to hear people talk about how their company is going through a transformation which will help in their company delivering faster in the market, meet their customer needs and resolve all the issues.

How we wish that was true, how there was a magic pill which would resolve everything just like that. Take the pill twice a day and in a week you will have all the results ….. poof!

When an organisation plans to undertake transformation, it is very important to set the vision right, it should take in consideration the Why of the change, for who is this change, what would be the impact of this. A vision plays critical role into the direction the transformation will take.

Another important tenant to consider before undertaking a transformation journey is the culture of the organisation. What impact is desired on the same? Often people talk about the culture not being right, or needing a change. What is this change and who would support this change? Culture changes are hard and usually the last ones to happen.

In order to build a transformation roadmap, it is important to factor in all the transformation pillars and then visualise what kind of impact this change would bring. Bigger the organisation, slower the transformation, hence it’s important to understand how much and where the impact is most needed.

Engaging with Transformation SMEs is a great idea, they can help build your roadmap and build internal capabilities to support the change.
